Sailing on Lake Ontario

This photo is from Victoria Day weekend, if I recall. Today it’s very cold here in Toronto, like 10 C (50 F). Me, I love this weather.

I think I’m going to move my blog today. I’m pretty much out of space. I’m going to post one last photo to take us full circle from my very first photo just over a year ago. The new blog looks just like this one, so many will not even  notice the change, except that there will be no history and only a couple of new photos on it.

“Blue on Blue…” This photo reminds me of that old Bobby Vinton song. Are YOU old enough to remember that? The photo gives me a bit of a melancholy feeling, and there’s nothing wrong with that….

That’s a bit before my time, C-Cat, but I do get what you mean. I think the feeling is derived by the sense of the boat departing, moving out into the open waters of the unknown.

  2. That was a better day to sail than what I got last weekend. Nice composition with that added gull flying by. You know that happens just way too often to be happy coincidences. 🙂

    Oh, you’re gonna love this one…. 😉

LOVE the boat. The seagull?? Not so much.

I know!! What am I saying! The wildlife photog wishes the gull wasn’t in the shot! What is happening??! 😉

Yep. It’s true. I’d photoshop that sucker right out.

Just when you thought you had me all figured out, right? 🙂

I’m phoning the PETA hot line on you as we speak, Tracy. 🙂

You’re right, the photo would still work sans gull. But, as you know, I’m the LAZY photographer. Shopping out the gull takes valuable time that could be better spent napping and channel surfing.
