Industrial Peephole

This photo is from last winter at The Brickworks, off the Don Valley Pkwy in Toronto. Basically, I was shooting through a small hole, about an inch in diameter and focusing on the rusted beam beyond this hole. I guess you could call it an abstract. I shot it with my Panasonic point & shoot. Hope you like it.

Can’t lie, Dave. Your post title had me worried!

I don’t mind this shot, but I simply wish there were something a bit more interesting to look at since you’ve used framing to focus our attention through the hole.

Oooh, I know! Your PEEP-hole needs a BIRD! LOL!

What worries me, Tracy, is how quickly your mind turns my innocuous title into something, um, dirty. 🙂
Just kidding, I don’t blame you for being worries. You’re right about there not really being a subject. A bird in the hole would have worked nicely. I don’t want to even imagine the title for that one. 🙂

Looking at this I can’t shake the feeling that it is actually a really weathered view from the space station. Yes, I know, odd. But the cross bar near the top of the peep-hole gives the deep-space impression, while the white below gives the illusion of the earth.

    I like it.

Okay, ya got me. This was indeed taken when I was really really high…..up in the space station. 🙂 Thanks Sean and thanks for popping by my blog.
