Superman Vs Super Mario

Saw this in downtown Toronto across from Dundas Square. The kid was so focused on his little video game he hardly took notice of actual art happening in front of his eyes. Sort of a shame. But I was mostly attracted to this photo by the play of light and shadow.

Great photo, sad commentary on kids – of course I’m hooked on technology myself, but that’s another story.

Too bad the chalk master is being asked to leave this spot. The painting is amazing, as is the fact that the kid is sooooo absorbed in that gameboy. lol. Great catch here Dave!

GREAT image title, GREAT photo! That artist is amazing! and I agree with Amber that it is sad that he has to leave. But hopefully he will find another streatch of concrete that he can call his own?

I love how ALL the other people are looking at the artist (or the work) while the boy is focussed on the video game. Speaks volumes of truth!
