Pencils, Pencils, get your pencils….

This poor guy’s been a fixture in the beaches since I was a teenager. He hangs out every day selling pencils on the street corner at Lee Ave. & Queen St. E. in the beaches. He’s actually quite the charmer, always trying to engage people with witty banter, at least witty to him anyway. Not sure where he goes at night, probably a homeless shelter. This shot was taken in the winter with my old p & s.

Funny and sad all at the same time. One of your specialties, Dave! 🙂

Thanks Tracy and Kokot. Yes, it’s definitely a sad sight. The guy has mental problems. One can only hope he’s getting the appropriate help from the government.

Dave! He’s actually one of the friendliest, kindest, funniest (well, you actually win that category) guys in the Beach. Great photo, but he doesn’t really look that bad.
    …Plus, he call’s me Marilyn Munroe 🙂
