Birds on Ice

Happy Saturday everyone. Thought I’d post a photo with some nice blue sky in it, since we haven’t seen any here in Toronto in a week, it seems. But today’s sunnier than flying pan full of eggs, although a bit cool. I was hoping to get out for some photography this weekend but we’ll see. I’m still not feeling 100% from my cold. My head is throbbing. Maybe after a good breakfast I’ll begin to feel more normal — well, normal for me anyway. This photo was taken back in the winter, hence the ice. It was very cold that but Mauro and I braved the elements down at Toronto’s harbour front. I’d just gotten a new hat — one of those Russian aviator style hats with the fir lining. It kept me toasty. Anyway, hope you like it.

I hope you are feeling better Dave! I like the upper portion of the image and I gotta ask…what’s with the ladder to nowhere?

Thanks Tracy. In the summer this place is chockablock with boats mored against the shore here so I guess the ladder is to get people down onto their boats, at least the smaller boats.
