University of Toronto in Winter

Here’s another photo from yesterday. This was taken at the University of Toronto grounds. For those not in the know, U of T is the Canadian equivalent to Harvard in the States. I almost went there but then I remembered I was dumb and poor. 🙂 Believe it or not, this was the first time I’d ever walked the grounds of U of T. I’d actually love nothing more than to return to school and get a degree, but it ain’t gonna happen in my lifetime. As for the photo, I might have over processed it a bit, but I wanted something almost sinister and moody looking.

You may be dumb and poor, but you sure are funny. Looks like an old time hand colored photo to me and I’m an old timer who used to use that technique, so I must know, aye? (put a little Canadian in there for translation purposes).

By the way, the Canon you are drooling over is the update version of mine – go for it.

      Thanks Lynn. 🙂
The Canadian way to end a sentence is “eh?” as in, “That’s a nice photo you got dare, eh?” 🙂
Yeah, that Canon sure seems like a winner. I’ll know by the end of the month, I hope.

I like this, Dave. The effect is “old and cold” and reminds me of those old photographs that I would look at through some kind of viewing device my grandmother had. I forget what they were called.

Thanks, that’s the look I was going for. I can’t remember the name of that viewer you’re talking about, but I know the one you mean. I think it was a “something-a-scope” or something like that.

I like the cold/greyness of this photo.
