Inlet at Ashbridge’s Bay, Toronto

In the summer this spot is filled with sail boats and cruisers, all docked and waiting to cruise the lake (Lake Ontario, that is). This photo is another from my Christmas Day outing. Oddly, not much boating going on.

It looks like a nice peaceful little place to have a boat. Where are all the boats now? When I’m rich and famous I want a little sail boat!! 🙂

Yeah, it’s a very nice spot in the beaches. My first photo outing after being laid off last May was at Ashbridge’s Bay, although the photos from that day weren’t my first posts.
As for the boats, they are in dry dock just to the right of the shot, at the Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club. Very hoity-toity.
Here’s another shot of the same place but back in June ’09. I was standing a few hundred feet to the left, so this scene would be to the right in the following photo.

Almost a B/W shot and almost 5 stars!
    Finely composed… Lovely subject.
    Well done, Dave!
