Little Pink House

Here’s another photo from atop the parking garage in Yorkville. I thought this little pink (or mauve?) house looked so out of place surrounded by all the highrise buildings. Hope you like it.

Fabulous. Ever seen “Up” from Pixar? If you did, you’ll know the feeling I have right now. It’s like I’m seeing the real live thing!

I still don’t know how you do that thing you do.

      I could tell you, Lynn, but… 🙂
It’s not that difficult, really. Do you post-process your photos? If so, what program do you use? If not, you can download google’s free photo editing software, Picasa3, and use it to achieve this effect.

    I thought about UP too!

My entry into the photography world came from loads of pictures of my children and then when my youngest was born with a rare vision impairment I began taking pictures of her and her eyes each day to record her progression. Long story short but I began a business on the side to help cover the costs of her treatments and therapies. Anyhow…I am always inersted in learning how to edit better. How to take better pictures. My first time here today, but it will not be my last! Thanks! (oh…I use lightroom mainly)

Thanks for dropping by, Katie, and sharing your story. I’ll definitely check out your blog too. I don’t have Lightroom but hear it’s very useful.
