Chess in the Park

This photo goes back to the early fall. The park is at Church St. & Queen St. beside St. Michael’s hospital. I thought it worked well in black and white.

Beautiful, love how the light is filtering down to shine on the chess players.

This is a very nice one. Wide, effectively descriptive and beautifully framed. I like it very much.
I compliment you for taking such a picture because I know that the area is hard to photograph: There isn’t much space and the light is often less than ideal because of the heavy shadow casted by the numerous trees.

Thanks, Mauro. When I took this photo I accidentally had my camera set to a much lower image quality than it’s capable of and ended up with a relatively low-res file. After some playing around and sharpening, I think I managed to salvage it. You’re right about that area. Not an easy spot to get good light.

  3. This has a sort of party/picnic quality about it–it certainly works.
