Gordon’s Block Building, Elora

Here’s a photo of one of the more dominant buildings in Elora. I can’t say how old it is. In a way it looks pretty new, as if built using reclaimed bricks, but it might be old and the brickwork recently professionally cleaned. Hard to say. UPDATE: A little research uncovered that the flat-iron building was built in 1865 by Andrew Gordon and operated as a hotel (the Dalby House Hotel) for more than 25 years.

  1. I wish to ‘live’ –take up residence in all the ‘end’ front rooms–up and down all the floors. Why? for the windows on three sides.
